A conservative feature filter

Find a smart plug for the real load and outlet

Start with where the plug will be used, what it must switch and which app or smart-home platform must control it.

How to use the optional requirements

Choose only requirements you can verify. This finder compares reviewed manufacturer evidence; it cannot inspect your wiring, identify an unlabelled appliance, or promise a fit beside another plug.

Your everyday needs

Start with where and how you will use it. Choose the features you need, and leave a choice open when it is not essential.

Choose outdoor only when the plug is explicitly rated for weather exposure. A roof or covered outlet does not change an indoor-only rating.

Dimmable-lamp models are lighting controls, not general-purpose appliance plugs; check bulb type, dimming method and matched lamp loads. For motors, compressors or specialty appliances, check the separate motor rating and appliance instructions. Watt and amp maximums are not blanket permission for every load.

The same platform can be reached through different routes, such as Matter, HomeKit or a manufacturer integration. The exact model review identifies the documented route; choosing a platform does not mean a particular protocol is present.
