Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I schedule an indoor appliance and use Apple Home with a three-pack?
The selected TP15 V1 page identifies three separate plugs. TP-Link documents weekly Tapo schedules and Apple Home Matter setup, but the schedule is documented in Tapo; do not assume a single grouped routine or identical controls in Apple Home without checking your own platform setup.
Explore this need in the finder →Can all three plugs each be used with a motor up to the stated limit?
The US TP15 QSG gives a separate 1/6 hp motor limit for each plug. Three packages do not combine that rating, and a motor or compressor can have startup demands not represented by ordinary running watts; verify all three connected appliances individually.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the three-pack provide 45 A / 5,400 W for one appliance?
No. The three-unit package contains three individual TP15s, each with a 15 A / 1,800 W at 120 V general/resistive limit. The package quantity is not one larger switched circuit or an aggregate allowance for a single device.
Explore this need in the finder →Assessment scope: This review covers the US TP15 V1 three-pack package route using manufacturer specifications and setup documents. It is not based on ownership, electrical testing, measurements or home setup. TP-Link's category distinguishes the three-pack from its one- and two-unit offers, and the dedicated selected page lists three TP15 plugs. That bundle size is the main product-level distinction; it does not create a larger single outlet or change each device's technical limits.
A bundle for three separate control points
A three-pack can make sense when there are three indoor loads to automate, perhaps in different rooms or at separate outlets. Each TP15 has one switched receptacle, a side power button and its own network setup. The official three-unit image shows three individual plugs, not one adapter with three sockets. Treat the plugs as three instances of the same device rather than a shared circuit or a guarantee that they will all be controlled together by one scene.
Each unit's listed body is 2.4 inches high, 1.5 inches wide and 1.3 inches deep. The product description calls the design compact, but body size alone does not establish clearance behind furniture, beside a wall plate or around a connected cord. For a three-pack, the practical work is checking three locations—not just finding a measurement that fits one outlet. If only one or two locations are usable, compare the package count before assuming the larger bundle is a better fit.
Routines belong to the documented app path
TP15 is a Matter-certified 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi device; Bluetooth is listed for setup only. TP-Link documents control in the Tapo app and Matter integration with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings. A third-party Matter controller or hub is required for most platform setups. A compatible phone app, controller firmware and the correct Wi-Fi band are part of the buying and commissioning decision; Matter support does not remove those prerequisites.
Tapo documents weekly schedules, a countdown/Auto-Off timer and Away Mode for TP15. TP-Link also describes local access through Tapo or a configured Matter home app if internet service is interrupted. Local control after setup is not a claim that a three-pack configures offline or will work if the local router/Wi-Fi is unavailable. The evidence does not promise that a single automation will enroll or synchronize all three plugs automatically. Plan to identify and verify each unit in the app, and test ordinary routines in a safe, noncritical use before depending on them.
The third plug does not increase the electrical ceiling
For each TP15, TP-Link lists 100–125 V, a 15 A maximum and 1,800 W at 120 V for general/resistive loads. The US multiple-pack quick-start guide gives a separate 1/6 hp motor rating and an 8 A incandescent limit. Those are per-device and load-specific figures. Three plugs do not supply 45 A or 5,400 W to one appliance, and package quantity does not raise a motor rating. Evaluate every connected appliance separately, including its motor or compressor start behavior and instructions.
There is no verified energy-measurement feature in the TP15 materials reviewed. Scheduling an appliance or turning it off remotely does not tell you how much electricity it consumed. If consumption reporting is essential, look for a model with an explicit, app-specific energy measurement feature rather than treating app control as a proxy.
Indoor-only and version checks remain material
The TP15 is for indoor use; its quick-start guide says indoor-only, and the V1.6 datasheet says not to use it outdoors or in damp environments. It is not an outdoor outlet solution, even if a receptacle is under a roof. A dedicated weather-rated outdoor model has different placement and protection instructions.
The category page records the three-pack as a separate TP15 V1 item, and its selected route lists three plugs. The generic family path can render another package selection, so confirm the exact three-unit offer at purchase. The category labels version V1; TP-Link's support selector currently provides V1.6/V1.60 materials, but the precise seller hardware suffix is not established from this route. Also note that the support page's linked user-guide file identifies P125M rather than TP15; I excluded it rather than borrowing another model's instructions. The TP15 V1.6 datasheet, multiple-pack QSG and exact selected route are the evidence used here. This bundle suits three real indoor control points—not three times the capacity for a single load.
