Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does EP25P4 provide four controlled outlets on one adapter?
No. The official EP25P4 package image and TP-Link's EOS description show four separate EP25 plugs. Each plug has one controlled receptacle and a per-plug electrical rating.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the observed EP25P4 V1 edition current?
TP-Link's September 2026 EOS list marks EP25P4 US V1.6 and V1.8 four-packs end-of-sale on July 11, 2024. A later V2.6 appears on the support page, but it is not the V1 catalog route assessed here. Check the unit label and seller package.
Explore this need in the finder →Can this package switch a motor up to 1/6 hp and report energy?
The product page gives 15 A, 1,800 W at 120 V and a separate 1/6 hp motor rating per plug; the EP25 datasheet documents energy monitoring in the Kasa app. Match each appliance separately, and note that the energy report is not supported in HomeKit.
Explore this need in the finder →What if the intended motor exceeds 1/6 hp?
The EP25P4 product page states a 1/6 hp motor ceiling. A four-unit bundle does not increase that limit on any plug; choose another documented switching method for a larger motor.
Explore this need in the finder →Research-based assessment of the TP-Link Kasa EP25P4 US V1 four-plug route. I have not used or tested these plugs; this review compares the manufacturer catalog entry, product page, versioned V1.6 materials and September 2026 end-of-sale listing. The exact V1 subrevision in any seller offer remains to be checked.
Four individual plug units in one package
EP25P4 is a four-plug package, not one four-outlet adapter. TP-Link's gallery shows four separate one-outlet bodies, and its US end-of-sale list names V1.6 and V1.8 EP25P4 four-packs. The observed catalog row is item 58037, version V1. A generic product-page field says one pack, so the four-pack decision rests on the exact image and EOS entry instead. Confirm both pack count and printed revision with the seller.
TP-Link's support portal lists EP25P4 V1.6/V1.8 and V2.6. This assessment covers the earlier V1 catalog route, not V2.6; a seller listing that says only “EP25P4” may not settle which edition ships.
Four controlled locations, with one rating per plug
The package can serve four separate indoor outlets, but each device still controls just one outlet and has its own load limit. It is not a strip, and the four-plug count does not add together to make a higher-capacity switch. If you are buying for several appliances, compare each one against its own plug's documentation and leave enough space for the plug body and connected cord at every wall location.
For the EP25 product, TP-Link lists 100–120 V, up to 15 A, 1,800 W at 120 V and a separate 1/6 hp motor ceiling. Those are not interchangeable ratings: do not use the watt maximum to overrule the motor limit or a specialty-appliance instruction. The datasheet and user guide identify the Kasa Wi-Fi plug family, while the exact product page and EP25P4 support path establish the reviewed model. Ask the appliance maker if a motor or compressor rating is unclear.
HomeKit and Kasa functions
The EP25P4 materials describe 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Kasa Smart control and Apple HomeKit. TP-Link also lists voice integrations such as Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant and SmartThings. A HomeKit setup code is required; TP-Link's generic HomeKit guidance says an Apple home hub helps with remote access, sharing and automations. Check what your household needs rather than treating HomeKit pairing, remote access and a scheduled routine as the same capability.
Energy monitoring is documented, but TP-Link says that the HomeKit app does not display the energy-monitoring feature. The Kasa app is the documented route for energy information. Schedules and a countdown timer are also named in the product materials. The checked V1.6 guide describes the Kasa setup and HomeKit steps; it does not establish that all Kasa functions appear identically in Apple's interface. The reviewed sources do not confirm local operation during internet loss, so I leave that behavior open.
No Matter or Thread capability is established for the V1 route in the reviewed EP25 material. HomeKit is the documented Apple route; it is not a synonym for Matter. This matters if an existing smart-home plan depends on a Matter controller, a Thread border router or cross-platform provisioning.
Indoor dimensions and historical status
The EP25 product specifications give a body size of 66.5 × 38 × 40 mm (2.6 × 1.5 × 1.6 inches, H × W × D) and describe a slim shape intended to stack at an outlet. Check four real installation locations, not just one, because the faceplate, nearby device, outlet orientation and appliance-cord bend may differ. A stated body dimension does not guarantee the second receptacle remains usable in your home.
This is an indoor-only plug, not a damp/outdoor choice. TP-Link's September 2026 EOS list gives EP25P4 V1.6 and V1.8 four-packs an end-of-sale date of July 11, 2024. That historical date is not a live stock report. Compare the unit label and check current support or replacement instructions.
How it differs from other reviewed Kasa plugs
The EP25P4's distinction is four plug units and a published motor ceiling. EP25P2 V2.6 is a two-pack with HomeKit and Kasa energy monitoring, but its checked V2.6 documents do not publish an amp or motor limit. EP10 states a general-resistive ceiling, yet its catalog route leaves pack size open and its checked sources do not document HomeKit or energy reporting. Tapo P125 and P125M are separate HomeKit and Matter models. More included plugs do not mean more capability per unit.
Choose it only when its earlier version, four-unit count, indoor placement, rating and Kasa/HomeKit route fit. If the seller cannot confirm a revision or support status that matters to you, pause rather than assume.
Before buying
Ask for a photo of the box and unit label. Confirm a US EP25P4 four-pack and whether the hardware is V1.6, V1.8 or V2.6; for V1.6/V1.8, check the EOS and current support route. Compare each appliance's voltage, current, wattage and motor rating with its plug, and confirm Kasa energy reporting suits your HomeKit setup.
No price, stock, switching life, energy-measurement accuracy, wireless reliability or app response has been tested or asserted here. The review is a document-based comparison, not a guarantee that a particular seller's item will match the research route.
Bottom line
The earlier EP25P4 V1 route offers four HomeKit-enabled, energy-reporting indoor plugs, Kasa schedules and a separate 1/6 hp motor limit. But the catalog row says V1, support also lists V2.6, and EOS status is specific to V1 subrevisions. Verify the box and unit label. Read TP-Link's product information, V1.6 support downloads and EOS guidance.
